The Spanish La Liga is generally a source of home bankers and here is one for Thursday night’s action.
Valencia have come out of the blocks firing on all cylinders this season, looking a pretty impressive side with one draw and four wins to their name. They are on a three match winning streak in the league and netted 10 goals in their opening four matches. Valencia have a formidable looking attack with recent Spain debutant Paco Alcacer going well (three in his last three), along with Andre Gomes and Pablo Piatti. Rodrigo will be out of this one.
Cordoba aren’t likely to put up much of a fight on Thursday night, other than trying to keep the score respectable. They are without a win in the league so far, having posted two wins and a draw. They have scored in each of their last three games though, which should help this game go over 2.5 goals, not that Valencia need a lot of help at the moment. No history to look at between them as this will be the first competitive clash ever. Hard to see the newly promoted side getting much change out of a trip to the Mestalla. Back Valencia to win and Alcacer to score.
